ED in Iowa
On June 26th we kicked off our ground campaign in Iowa at the Science Center of Iowa (SCI) & Blank IMAX Dome in Des Moines.
Why are we in Iowa?
Every four years, the nation turns its eyes to the Hawkeye State as the presidential candidates from both major parties test their campaigns and their messages before the savvy Iowa audience. What works in Iowa will work elsewhere.
Iowans have a rich tradition of not allowing candidates to get away with platitudes and vague promises. If Iowans insist that the candidates demonstrate genuine leadership on the critical issues facing America’s schools, the debate will travel nationwide.
We are looking to Iowans to spark the debate about how we as a nation can develop consistent American standards for our schools, put an effective teacher in every classroom and provide more time and support for learning.
