Yesterday, the Dalia Lama observed 9/11 with a luncheon at the Peninsula Hotel encouraging world peace. He sat alongside producer Dr. B.K. Modi, who is currently working on Buddha. During this luncheon, the World Peace Through Cinema initiative was also launched. The initiative doesn’t seem to have a website yet. (Note to Hollywood, when launching something such as this, please create website first!)

Celebs attending the world peace event included Goldie Hawn, Sharon Stone, Chris McGurk, Carol Mendelsohn, Laurence Fishburne and Robert Downey Jr.
